In the heart of the South-West, from the foothills of the Pyrenees to the undulating hills of Gascony, our vineyard is spread over terroirs of unique richness.

In the beginning, in the mid-1970s, André Dubosc – a local child, winemaker for three generations – decided to develop the reputation of South-West wines. Accompanied by an enthusiastic team of young winegrowers, he created dry white country wines, today IGP Côtes de Gascogne, revived the Saint Mont appellation and relaunched Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, made from late harvests.
In 1979, these men who gathered all their love and know-how to offer the best of the terroir decided to join forces further by grouping their cellars and estates. They gave birth to the union of Plaimont cooperatives (“Pl” for Plaisance, “Ai” for Aignan and “Mont” for Saint-Mont).
Since its creation, Plaimont has acquired the most beautiful castles and estates in the region with a view to reconstituting emblematic vineyards and developing a new ambition at the service of the collective. The Condom cellar as well as other more modest ones have also joined Plaimont in order to share its development. Today Plaimont is 98% of the Saint Mont appellation (red, white and rosé), 55% of the Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh appellation and almost half of the Côtes de Gascogne.
Plaimont has become the leader in South-West wines in the space of a few decades. Its plant heritage (its plot of vines listed as a Historic Monument, its ampelographic conservatory) and its built heritage (Château Arricau-Bordes, Château de Sabazan, Château Saint-Go, Monastery of Saint-Mont, Domaine de Cassaigne …) represent the excellence of Plaimont production.
