CHÂTEAU BARRÉJAT

The estate is located on the borders of the Gers in the town of Maumusson Laguian.
Four generations have succeeded and it is currently Denis who operates the 50 hectares of vines in AOC Madiran-Pacherenc du Vic Bilh. Over the years, the castle has distinguished itself and collected a fine list of medals.
It is also present in many guides in which it is recognized for the high quality of its wines as well as for its exceptional quality/price ratio. Our strength is the old vines, 80 years old on average, vines of exceptional robustness which concentrate all the qualities allowing us to produce a reference wine for amateurs and enthusiasts.
Totally grassed since 1960, our Gers vineyard is worked in the traditional way. Only materials of natural origin amend the soil. Our practice of debudding, stripping and green harvesting limits yields to a maximum of 55 hl/ha. We attach the greatest care to the reception of the harvest. It has been operating optimally since 1996, the date of construction of a harvest reception and an underground barrel cellar. Installed in 1992 at the Château, Denis Capmartin produces 16 cuvées perfectly staged in quality.

Wine producer, Château Barréjat offers for sale 4 AOP Madiran Rouge which, whatever the vintage, are powerful wines with intense color and aromatic nuances. These are wines for laying down that do not require sophisticated vinification. The cuvées are made with two grape varieties, Tannat and Cabernet. Our wine experts also make Pacherenc-du-Vic-Bilh with various grape varieties, Gros Manseng and Petit Manseng. Our Gers vineyard is a privileged place where we defend controlled traditional viticulture.
