Come and spend a moment suspended in time during Pascal Neveu's concert, at the Notre Dame de la Croix Chapel. Pascal Neveu, pianist, composers, his music is an intricacy of jazz, classical music and oriental music. Coming from a family of classical musicians spanning several generations (including Ginette and Jean Neveu), he began improvising on the piano at the age of 4. Very early on, he composed his first classical pieces on his own. Then at the age of 7 he entered the conservatory before becoming a student of contemporary music composer J. Richer. Too cramped in the classical universe, he experimented in a self-taught way with new forms of improvisations gradually approaching Jazz. He then discovered 3 musicians whose approach to improvisation would support his musical directions: Keith Jarrett, Thelonious Monk and Cecil Taylor and retained his interest in the music of Sergei Rachmaninov.
