Domaine de Maouries

Spirits, Wine, Producer, Producer-farmer at Labarthète

Created in 1907, the Domaine de Maouries today brings together three generations of winegrowers on a beautiful vineyard of 28 ha which stretches on very stony slopes facing south and which generously benefit the four appellations of the field: Madiran, Pacherenc Vic Bilh, Saint-Mont and the Côtes de Gascogne.

The vineyard of Domaine de Maouries now covers 28 ha. The 25 parcels of vines planted in 3 communes allow us to develop a wide range of wines in Appellation. The variety of grape varieties, soils and microclimates of the Domaine gives pure, gourmet and surprising wines

The vineyard is under certification HVE (High Environmental Value). At the Domaine de Maouries, this translates into a very low use of plant protection products (on average two to three times less than a conventional farm) and maintains many areas of ecological interest: permanent meadows, grassy strips, hedges, water points... These areas represent half of the area exploited.

In our cellar, Pascal and Claire vinify wines in a traditional way, always favoring fruit and balance. High-end wines such as Madiran "Orchis de Pyren" and Saint-Mont "Anthocyane" will be aged in oak barrels between 8 and 18 months depending on the wine we wish to obtain.

    A family history

Family domain for 5 generations, the Domaine de Maouries is managed today by Isabelle, Philippe, Pascal and Claire Dufau. The team shares the tasks, each one manages its part while being complementary on the various works to be carried out on the Domain.
For deliveries and sales at trade shows, ask Philippe!
For sale at the property, logistics and accounting, ask Isabelle!
For the management of the vineyard and vinification, ask Pascal!
For sales to France and export professionals, vineyard management and winemaking, ask for Claire!

Jacqueline and André, happy retirees of the Estate, are still very active. They often welcome customers during the sale at the Chai and look after the beautification and maintenance of the area around the Domaine de Maouries

The Domaine de Maouries is open every day from 9am to 12pm and from 14h to 19h, except Sunday and holidays.
