Coming from a family of winegrowers for several generations, Nicolas Tortigue made his project a reality in 2013 by buying the Larroque estate with his wife, located on the heights of the town of Madiran, which has now become the "Les Pyrénéales" estate. Coming from a family of winegrowers for several generations, Nicolas Tortigue made his project a reality in 2013 by buying the Larroque estate with his wife, located on the heights of the town of Madiran, which has now become the "Les Pyrénéales" estate. Why Les Pyrénéales? This name is a nod to his two children Pierre and Alan, and the Pyrenean massif that can be seen from the vines. Land and vines overgrown with weeds, brambles… it took him a long time to revive the whole thing. The result is already encouraging and the efforts of the whole family are continuing to revive this estate which today covers just over 10 hectares and which has been restructured to meet the requirements of the appellation. The conduct of the vineyard is reasoned. This leads to the free expression of the terroir, making it possible to obtain quality grapes. The equipment of the vinification cellar has made it possible to work the grapes in an innovative way, in particular so as to preserve a maximum of aromas. Domaine les Pyrénéales has favored the promotion of Bigorre wines (IGP Comté Tolosan Bigorre), a hymn to the Pyrenees chain through the discovery of mythical peaks.
