At 8:30 p.m. Daniel Garcia Trio Daniel García piano • Reinier Elizarde “El Negrón” double bass • Shayan Fathi drums Daniel García has become one of the most original and influential voices of the new generation of Spanish jazz. Accompanied by one of the most creative and active rhythm players on the European jazz scene, the Cubans Reinier Elizarde "El Negrón" and Michael Olivera, the native of Salamanca delves into the musical roots of his native land and combines his influences with the language of contemporary jazz trio. The result is music of rare expressiveness, deeply lyrical and demanding, in which melodic refinement and rhythmic intensity are skillfully combined: “When we play, we listen in real time to the music we produce, we constantly exchange information and react. We are, in a way, building an in vivo musical sculpture, a very intense experience to which the public is invited.”
