L'ASTRADA - SALLE DE SPECTACLES

Performance hall with 500 seats, designed to host quality shows all year round in all live performance disciplines. It was baptized: L'Astrada. In other words "destiny" in Occitan.

On the ground floor, the 500-seat hall, in tiers, is made up of a set of non-symmetrical balconies, gradual slopes, passageways and acoustic walls. This layout models a space that offers listeners very different places but strongly belonging to the whole.

On the 1st floor, dressing rooms, offices and a reception room make it possible to organize life around the show.
On level 2, the technical equipment takes its ease, the stage cage rises 8 meters in height, the control room is joined by galleries and service rooms.

Acoustics: The room is designed with acoustic performance in mind. The elements necessary for a good acoustic response are integrated into the architecture. Thus, the volumes, the geometry and the constitution of the interior walls, among other devices, allow a part of variability of the conditions of reverberation and sound projection. All these elements are designed to maintain excellent listening quality, whatever the configuration of the orchestras or troops, whether or not there is an amplification system in the room.
