Located in the heart of the Saint Mont Appellation, this unique plot of 20 ares of vines brings together several exceptional characteristics. Unique witness of a viticulture of yesteryear, this site is the guardian of a remarkable viticultural biodiversity, with nearly 20 local grape varieties listed, including 7 still unidentified to date.

Almost two centuries old, it is the particular nature of its soil, particularly sandy, which enabled it to resist the ravages of phylloxera, an insect which decimated the vineyard at the end of the 19th century.

The winegrowers who own this plot have for generations protected this unique heritage with passion, perpetuating ancestral farming methods that have now disappeared (planting in double plants arranged in a square). They are paid to look after and maintain the very old vines, sometimes too old to be harvested.

Unique in its kind, this exceptional site is listed as a historical monument: it is a first in France.
