In 1984, a trip to Algeria inspired his first novel: "Les ANI du Tassili" (winner of the Georges-Brassens prize), which he adapted for television. This is how he began a career as a screenwriter. Akli Tadjer is the author of several novels, including "Le Porter de Cartable" (2002), which was the subject of a television adaptation, and the highly acclaimed "Alphonse" (2005).
