The original guinguette "Le Garage" in the heart of the village offers you an evening of food and music!! Indeed, this Friday the Garage is hosting a guitar concert as part of the Festival Cordes en Gascogne. Jose Ferreira, Guitar Born in São Paulo (Brazil) José began learning the guitar as an autodidact in Goiânia, the city where he grew up. His desire to feed on different sources of music (jazz, classical, world music) led him to travel and live in other countries such as Argentina, the United States, the Netherlands and France. During these travels, he discovered other accents, new harmonies and formed great musical friendships. In 1999, he formed the guitar duo Duobá with Ricardo Mello; They then left for the United States to continue their musical experience and recorded two albums with their compositions and arrangements: Soundfower in 2001 and Latitude in 2003. In 2005, he released his first solo album, Violão e Cordas (Guitar and Strings). Accompanied by Kailin Yong on the Violin, Evan Orman on the Cello and the Denver String Ensemble, he recorded works by Villa Lobos, Radamés Gnattali and Astor Piazzolla. Based in Paris since 2005, José obtained his concert diploma at the École Normale de Musique de Paris in the class of Alberto Ponce in 2008. Following his prize in classical guitar, he joined and formed new Brazilian music ensembles in Paris and gave concerts in France, Russia, Spain, Germany, Belgium, the United States, Brazil and Paraguay. The numerous concerts given and a committed discography reveal a versatile musician, moving with ease and joy from solo, duo, trio and other ensembles to concertos with Orchestra. In 2015, he recorded the album "Lilas" with the group Trio in Uno, and in 2019 the album "Ipê" which counts with the participation of cellist Vincent Segal and percussionist James Muller. José has performed alongside renowned musicians such as Yamandu Costa, Paulo Bellinatti, Gabriel Grossi, Eduardo Neves, Rogerio Caetano, Nicolas Krassik, Daniel Murray, Desiree Rushtrat, Evan Orman, Ze Luis Nascimento among others; and has collaborated with composers such as Sergio Assad and Marco Pereira having recorded several of their compositions and creations. Currently, he shares his musical passion on stage but also by giving masterclasses at music festivals. He performs regularly in the groups Trio In Uno, les Bécots da Lappa, Duo Soyer-Ferreira, Duo in Uno, Black Oak Ensemble, solo or with orchestra.
