Where it all begins

Facing the arches simulating the old cloister, the stones of the Augustinians still breathe the memory of a bygone era!
Today, they welcome a new story: that of an open, vibrant place where heritage and creativity come together in unison.

Conceived in the spirit of ‘Marciac la Créative’, this cultural and tourist centre is designed to keep the village alive throughout the year.
It is a crossroads of experiences, born from the union between the Marciac Town Hall, the Cœur Sud-Ouest Tourist Office, Jazz in Marciac and CinéJim 32.
Les Augustins is bustling with activity all year round: creative workshops, behind-the-scenes cinema tours, tasting evenings, exhibitions, concerts and ‘Befores des Augustins’ evenings, where local produce and culture come together in harmony before nightfall.
Key dates: Heritage Days, Museum Night, Jazz in Marciac Festival, Christmas Market (and many more to come) punctuate the season and make Les Augustins a place that is constantly on the move.

The Tourist Centre – Coeur sud-Ouest in the spotlight

Behind the glass door, the journey begins.
The Pays du Val d’Adour showcase reveals a land of emotions: hills bathed in light, proud bell towers, golden vineyards and, on the horizon, the lace-like Pyrenees.
Our holiday advisors welcome you as you would welcome friends: with a smile, time and a desire to share all the secrets of our South-West Heart region, whether in the Gers or the Hautes-Pyrénées.

Here, you can plan your getaways, book your concert at the Jazz in Marciac Festival, and savour a taste of the region with a tasting of local wines and products.
Saint-Mont, Madiran, Pacherenc, Côtes de Gascogne, Floc, Armagnac… so many flavours to discover before setting off to explore.

The Boutique – The taste of Cœur Sud-Ouest to take away

In the Augustins boutique, your senses will be awakened: the scent of jams, the waxed wood of the craftsmen, the reflection of an amber bottle.
Each object tells a story of an encounter, each flavour a story of expertise.
You will leave with your arms full of gifts and your heart a little fuller of this place.

Immersive Spaces – The soul of Marciac in images and sound

The immersive space

Step into the darkness: on the screen, a continuous film lasting around 20 minutes invites you to follow the jazz dreams of ‘Marceau’, a young New Yorker who crosses the ocean, and ‘Marcy’…
Their stories intertwine in an animated film vibrant with music and poetry: a journey where everything comes together in the same emotion.

The cabinet of curiosities

Right next door, a cabinet of curiosities is brimming with treasures: Guy Lafitte’s saxophone, Stéphane Grappelli’s hands, yellowed photos and posters that made Marciac’s heart beat faster.
A model of the bastide and audio recordings complete the visit: you can stroll through it as if through the living memory of a village.

The Territories of Jazz

Then it’s time for the great jazz journey: a unique journey in Europe that takes visitors from African roots to New York clubs. Within this museum space: twelve settings, twelve atmospheres, a thousand emotions.

Micro-Folie – The world at your fingertips

In this digital museum coordinated by La Villette and supported by the Ministry of Culture, more than 5,000 works await you.
Masterpieces from the Louvre, Orsay and Pompidou Centre are coming to Marciac.
A free space, open to all, featuring workshops, discoveries and discussions about art.

The FabLab and artists’ space

Here, materials become ideas.
The FabLab des Augustins provides 3D printers, laser cutters and robots to give shape to your desires.
Craftsmen, artists and residents create, experiment and innovate here.
An artistic co-working space also welcomes creators in residence: light, silence, inspiration… Marciac becomes the world’s workshop.

CinéJim 32 – The cinema that dreams big

Under the patronage of Emir Kusturica, CinéJim 32 rolls out its film: 88 seats, intimate comfort, and an arthouse programme combining auteur films, young talent and favourites.
Screenings, debates, visits to the projection booth… here, cinema is experienced as a conversation.
